DetailsAn inquisition taken at Ely on the aforesaid Thursday by oath of William Craunfeld, Thomas Pilryn, John Dene, John Fytheler, John Andreu, Henry Helgeye, Richard de Quere, John Aldesheth, John Erheth, John Feror, Benedict Rysell and John Wetyng, who say upon their oath that on Monday 17th June 1381, Thomas Lyncoln of Littleport, Thomas Ixnyng, John atte Style, Thomas Crede, William Dancastre, John Webester of Littleport and William Cartere of the same, with many others whose names are unknown, rose up against the king's peace, and feloniously took and burnt various court rolls and other documents belonging to Thomas Bishop of Ely at Ely.
