Choose a "Table" to focus on. Either Incidents, Participants or both.Depending on the table chosen different fields are searched and different data is returned as described further below.
The results are a summary of the main information found in the database. They also contain links to see the complete source, participant, or incident information. For example the full participant page contains details of relationships, biographical information, incidents participated in, and people in the database believed to be the same person.
There may be multiple entries in the database for the same person or incident as an entry exists for each source the person or incident is found in.

The wildcard option character % looks for 0 or more characters. E.g. H%t would match Herbert, E.g. H%e would match Herbert and Helen
The wildcard option character _ looks for exactly 1 character. E.g. Wr_xham would match Wroxham and Wrexham E.g. Wh_te would match White and Whyte
