Et modo scilicet die veneris proxima ante festum sancti Andree Apostoli eodem termino coram domino rege apud Westm' venit predicti Radulphus Wardle et Thomas Tylere per constabularium turris London' per brevem domini regi de cancellario ei inde directi ducti qui committuntur marescallo. Et statim per marescallum ductis venerunt et quia predictus probator pro feloniis et prodicionibus predictis iam suspensus et distractus est prout patet rotulo xlviijo isto eodem termino predicti Radulphus Wardale et Thomas Tylere instanter allocuti sunt separatim qualiter de feloniis et prodicionibus se velit acquietare et dicunt separatim quod dominus rex nunc de gracia sua speciali pardonauit eisdem Radulpho et Thome sectam pacis sue que ad ipsum pertinet in hac parte exceptis et co. per litteras suas patentes quas proferunt hic in curia videlicet predictus Radulphus in hec verba: Pardon to Ralph Wardale for all treasons, felonies and trespasses committed in the late insurrection and restoration of goods of five marks forfeited by him, provided he was not a principal in the deaths of Sudbury, Hales, Cavendish and the Prior of Bury or the burning of the Savoy and Clerkenwell Priory. Dated 30 November 1381. Pardon to 'Thomas atte Crouche Tyler of Erheth' for all treasons, felonies and trespasses committed in the late insurrection, provided he was not a principal in the deaths of Sudbury, Hales, Cavendish and the Prior of Bury or the burning of the Savoy and Clerkenwell Priory. Dated 28 November 1381. William Prene, parson of the church of Harmeston, John Base and Thomas Chapman give pledges for the good behaviour of Ralph and Thomas, and they go sine die. |
