Text (English translation)Writ dated 22 January 1382 to Sheriff of Middlesex. If the Prior of Harmondsworth gives sufficient surety, Roger Cook of Harmondsworth, Robert Freke of Harmondsworth, Richard atte Seler of Harlington, William Helway of Harlington, John Sandre of Stanwell, Thomas Bynorth of Stanwell, Andrew Freke of Stanwell, William Ravening of West Drayton, Hugh William of West Drayton and Peter Penyfader of Colnbrook, carpenter, to answer the Prior of Harmondsworth in King's Bench on a plea that they broke close and horses of the Prior at Harmondsworth and took goods and chattels worth forty marks and burnt charters, writings and other muniments. The Sheriff returns that they have nothing by which they may be attached.
