Quod appellum dominus rex certis de causis coram eo venire fecit terminandum. Per quod preceptum fuit vicecomitem quod caperet eos etc. Et modo scilicet die martis proxima post quindenam sancti Michaelis isto eodem termino coram domino rege apud Westmonasterium venerunt predicti Iohannes Rande et Thomas Bogylt postquam positi fuerunt in exigendis et reddiderunt se prisone marescallo domini regis occasione predicte qui committuntur marescallo. Et statim per marescellum ducti venerunt. Et quia prefatus probator iam suspensus est prout patet termino sancte Trinitatis [recte Pasche] anno regni regis nunc quinto rot' xxvj inter placita regis predicti Iohannes et Thomas allocuti sunt separatim qualiter de felonia et prodicione predictis se velint acquietare dicunt separatim quod ipsi in nullo sunt inde culpabile et inde de bono et malo ponunt se super patriam. Text (English translation)Suff' John Wrawe of Sudbury came before William Knyghtcote and Walter Doget sheriffs of the city of London and John Charneye coroner of the same city and confessed himself to be a traitor and felon of the Lord King concerning various treasons and felonies, and appeals John Rande of Sudbury and Thomas Bogylt of the same that together with the said approver and many other malefactors unknown to them of the said company on Thursday 13 June 1381 they came to the parish church of the town of Cavendish in Suffolk and broke open the said church feloniously and treasonably and then entered it. There they feloniously and treasonably took and carried off various goods and chattels belonging to John de Cavendish, recently justice of the king, namely two silver vessels, a piece of silver plate and a silver candlestick, priced at seven pounds, two pairs of knives and a jack of velvet, priced at 26s 8 d, all belonging to the said John de Cavendish and found in the tower of the church. The said John Rande and Thomas Bogylt, by common assent, made the said approver share these goods and chattels among themselves on that same Thursday.  Which appeal the Lord King for various reasons made come before him to be determined. By which the sheriff was commanded to arrest them, etc. And now that is to say on Tuesday after the Quindene of St Michael in this term (14 October 1382) the said John Rande and Thomas Bogylt, having been placed in exigent, surrendered to the prison of the marshalsea of the Lord King for the said reasons and were committed to the marshal. And they come, led by the marshal. And because the said approver is now hanged, as appears by membrane 26 among the pleas of the king for Trinty term [recte Easter] in the fifth year of the present king, said John and Thomas are separately asked how they plead and they say they are not guilty and place themselves on the country for better or worse. Therefore jurors are to come to King's Bench in the octaves of Hillary wheresoever etc. And in the meantime said John Rande and Thomas Bogylt are committed to the custody of Robert Bracy, the marshal.
