Text (English translation)The jurors present that Theobald Elys of the county of Kent was arrested for wrongdoings at the time of the insurrection and went feloniously to the house of John Boterwyk at Knightsbridge and burnt it on Friday 14 June 1381. They present that the aforesaid Theobald feloniously and treasonably went to the house of Elizabeth Spygurnel in the parish of St Clements next the Tower, London, and threatened to kill the aforesaid Elizabeth unless she made a quittance, and in fear of her life Elizabeth made a quittance for £10 on Friday 14 June 1381. They present that one Robert Gardiner of Holborn went with a great multitude feloniously and treasonably to the house of St John at Clerkenwell and there killed seven Flemings whose names are unknown on Thursday 13 June 1381. They present that William Taillor of Chelsea, John Hore of Knightsbridge, John Harry of Brompton, thresher and John Harry, 'Irish' of Brompton, plowman, went feloniously and treasonably to the house of John Boterwick at Knightsbridge and at Tothill and to the house of St John and burnt them, against the peace, on Friday 14 June 1381. They present that Henry Messag', servant of the bishop of Lincoln, went to the house of Roger Leget in Holborn and feloniously and treasonably [pulled it down], and was present at the beheading of the aforesaid Roger on Thursday 13 June 1381. They present that Roger Thoronston of Fulham went feloniously and treasonably to the house of the aforesaid John Boterwick at Tothill on Friday 14 June 1381 and broke into and burnt it.
