Text (English translation)The king to the sheriff of Norfolk: William de Swynebrook, parson of the church of Belaugh and Thomas Crane of Ludham to answer the Abbot of St Benedict of Holme, on a charge that they broke the closes of the Abbot at Horning and Ludham and took 6 horses, 8 oxen and 3 cows worth £10 at the said vill of Ludham, and goods and chattels worth £20 at Horning, and burnt charters, writings, rolls, memoranda and other muniments found there. Witnessed 18 May SR II. The sheriff returns that they have nothing.
