Text (English translation)Norfolk. The Prior of St Edmund by Thomas Ewell his attorney versus Robert Tewe, Thomas Clerk, shoemaker, Thomas Mellere, Roger Sygoo, William Hamond and Robert Thresshere on a plea that with Henry Pye, Robert Gyn and Edmund Childerston with force and arms they broke the close and houses of the same Prior at Southerey and took goods and chattels worth 100 s., and took and burnt charters, writings, court rolls and other muniments, and other injuries, against the king's peace etc. They do not appear; as before the sheriff was ordered to capture them and produce them at the quindene of Easter. And the sheriff reports that they are not found. Therefore, the sheriff is ordered to cause them to be demanded from county to county, until they be outlawed. And, if he then arrests them, produce him here in the feast of St Martin. And on that day the aforesaid Henry, Robert Gyn and Edmund by their attorney [remainder illegible].
