Et preceptum fuit vicecomiti quod attachieret eos etc. Et vicecomes modo mandat quod nichil habent etc. Ideo preceptum est vicecomiti quod capiat eos etc. Ita quod habeat corpora eorum hic in crastino Animarum per iusticiarios etc.
Text (English translation)Middlesex. John de Wendelyngburghe, prebendary of the prebend of Chiswick, appeared in person against William Hamptone, William Bevers and John Gybore on a plea that with force and arms they broke the closes and houses of the said John de Wendelyngburghe at Chiswick, and burnt writings, rolls, rentals and other muniments of his found there, and took and carried away his goods and chattels found there to the value of £20, and other enormities etc to the grave damage etc and against the peace etc. And they did not come. And the sheriff was ordered to attach them. And the sheriff reports that they have nothing. Therefore, the sheriff is ordered to arrest them and produce them here on the 3 November 1383.
