Text (English translation)Norfolk. William, prior of Hickling, appeared through Henry Lesyngham, his attorney, against Richard Crispyng of Catfield on a plea that with force and arms he broke the close of the said Prior at Hickling and burnt rolls, writings, and other muniments of his found there, and inflicted other enormities on him to the damage of the said prior of £40 and against the King's peace etc. And he did not come. And the sheriff was ordered to attach him. And the sheriff reports that he has nothing. Therefore, the sheriff is ordered to arrest him and produce him here at the quindene of Michaelmas 1382.
