Text (English translation)Middlesex. John Boterwyk by his attorney appears against Richard Umfrey, Walter Walter, John Smyth of Heston, Nicholas Ostirle, John Cook of Herston, Thomas Hicke, John Estland, John Wrong, William Webbe, Robert Hiche and John Weyland on a plea of trespass. And they do not come. It was ordered to the sheriff to arrest them. And the sheriff returns that they cannot be found etc. Therefore, the sheriff is ordered as before to arrest them ... So that he has their bodies before before the king's bench in the week of St John the Baptiste wheresoever etc. Afterwards namely on the 15 day of June of this term before the king's bench come the said Richard, Walter, John Smyth, Nicholas, John Cook, Thomas, John Wrong, William, Robert and John Weyland in their own persons and surrendered etc. And upon this come William Berfard, John atte Felde, John atte Style and John Kyng and give surety to have their bodies before the king's brench at the aforesaid term, each of the said mainpernors (pledge) under pain of £10 etc. And they seek a writ of supersedeas ...
