John Pagrave appears in person against Richard Cope of Crownthorpe, Thomas Thakstere of Crownthorpe, William Palmere of Crownthorpe, Richard Monyment of Crownthorpe, Andrew Soutere of Crownthorpe, Roger Baxtere of Shipdham, Thomas Feke of Wicklewood junior, William 'Jones servant Milicent', John Eppe of Wicklewood, Thomas Costyn, John Sauton, Paul Bocher, Thomas Coppyng, miller, and Richard Feke on a plea that with force and arms they broke the close and houses of the said John Pagrave at Little Palgrave Hall, and burnt a certain chest and two bags of his found there, with charters, writings and other muniments contained in the same chest and bags, and took and carried away his goods and chattels found there to the value of £40, and they assaulted his men and servants, beat, wounded and ill-treated them, and they compelled those there to pledge a corporal oath that they would not serve the aforesaid John Pagrave any further or act for his benefit, whereby the same men and services the same men and servants withdrew from the same John Pagrave's service, and so John Pagrave's land was left neglected by the disturbance of his aforesaid men and servants there, and for a long time the same John Pagrave lost the profit of his aforesaid land, and also the service of the same men and servants of his, and other enormities, against the peace. And they do not come. And the sheriff has been ordered to attach them. And the sheriff reports that they have nothing. Therefore, the sheriff is ordered to arrest them and produce them here at the quindene of Trinity 1382. And since on which day the sheriff did not send the writ.
