Text (English translation)Norfolk. The abbot of Saint Benet of Hulme appears through William Hornyng, his attorney, against John Prymeres of Coltishall and Richard Williams on a plea that with force and arms they broke the close of the abbey at Great Hautbois and burnt a certain chest with charters, writings and other things found assembled in the same chest, and also rolls, rentals and other muniments of his found there, and other enormities, to the loss of the abbey of £40 and against the peace etc. And they do not come. And the sheriff has been ordered to attach them. And the sheriff reports that they have nothing. Therefore, the sheriff is ordered to arrest them and produce them here at three weeks after Easter 1382. Norfolk.
