Text (English translation)Norfolk. Henry Lymynour of Norwich appears through John Drake, his attorney, against Edward Lyngstede, John Kyng of Paston, Adam Baxstere of Horstead, William Vaux of Frettenham, Thomas atte Fen of Knapton, John Wayte of Blichyng, John Andrewes of Westwick, Thomas Pour of Pulham, John Anker, smith, of Boughton, William de Fornyngham of North Walsham, John Smyth of Moulton, Thomas Sigwat of North Walsham and Alice, his wife, Pagan Hert of Felmingham, Thomas Whaplode of Salle, Robert [name illegible] of North Walsham, John Hill of South Walsham and William Draper of Lyng on a plea that with force and arms they broke the close and houses of the said Henry Lymynour at Norwich, and felled his trees lately growing there, and took and carried away those trees, as well as other goods and chattels of his found in the same to the value of £100, and also £100 of his money reckoned in cash, and also a certain box and two bags of his, with charters, writings and other muniments contained therein, and they threatened to knock down the houses of the same Henry Lymnour until Henry Gegge, John Sporle and John Geywod had made a fine of £40 for the aforesaid Henry with the aforesaid Edward, John, Adam, William, Thomas, John, John, Thomas, John, William, John, Thomas and Alice Pagan, Thomas, Robert, John Hill and William for the saving of his houses, and other enormities, against the peace. And they do not come. And the sheriff was ordered to distrain the aforesaid Edward and John. And also, that he might arrest the aforesaid Adam and the others. And the sheriff reports that the aforesaid Edward is distrained by chattals to the value of 6d and by the mainprise of John Edward, William Randes, John Pemone and Adam atte Stone, and John Kyng by chattels to the value of 6d, and by the mainprise of Walter [name illegible], John Warner, Thomas Toby and Henry Hubord. Therefore, they are in mercy. And just as previously the sheriff is ordered to distrain them by all lands and revenues and produce them here at the quindene of Easter 1382. And regarding the aforesaid Adam and all the others the sheriff reports that they cannot be found. And as previously the sheriff is ordered to arrest them and produce them here at the aforesaid term.
