Text (English translation)Notice that the archbishop in the presence of Lord Neville and others has taken security from all the tenants of the archbishop named in the document to keep the peace to the king's people; and he has also similarly taken security from Coppendale and the others.
General Information[1382] The list of those mainprised by the archbishop appears to be the conclusion to the troubles in Beverley and dates to 1382. Flower: 'The last membrane, containing about 50 names, appears to be a subsequent addition; this would reconcile the actual number of names with the number given in the preamble.
