| Text (English translation) | And about this matter it is agreed that the aforesaid John Somenour, Robert Piers, William Chamberlayn, John Dawe, and Robert Vyne of Manytre [Manningtree, Essex], come to answer and satisfy the king separately regarding the goods and chattels aforesaid, or the value of the same, in discharge of the aforesaid Robert de Goldyngton. And it is ordered that the sheriff make them come here etc on the morrow of Saint Hillary [15 January 1384]. The same day is given to the same Robert de Goldynton, on which day the same Robert came, and because this was executed with regards the aforesaid persons from the aforesaid cause on behalf of the King's Remembrancer once, for this reason do not execute this with regards the said John Somenour et others aforesaid again. |
