Text (English translation)Essex. John Sewale of Coggeshall by Richard Waltham his attorney, plaintiff, appears against Wiiliam Dornall of Canewdon, Roger Fuller of Chemsford and John Troweman, fuller, defendants, on a plea that with force and arms they broke the close and the houses of the said John Sewale at Coggeshall and burnt charters, deeds, rolls and other muniments found there and took and carried away goods and chattels found there worth £40 and committed other enormities to his great damage etc. The defendants do not come.
