Text (English translation)Holt The jurors present that Thomas Deye, at one time dwelling in Thornage, now fugitive, on Monday 17th June 1381, was with the (rebel) company of his own free will, and in the same rumour was a common robber. They also say that John Lystere (beheaded), John Barkere (beheaded) and Robert atte Mor of Binham on Tuesday 18th June 1381 took part in the rumour with evil company of their own free will, namely that they went to the manor of Lord Robert de Salle at Weybourne, and plundered and carried away from the said manor an iron bar worth 4 s. They also present that the aforesaid John, John and Robert presented and recorded various people in a bill, namely the parson of the church of Thursford, Vincent de Bathol, Nicholas Steyard and John Palmere, and said that they were traitors on the aforesaid day and year, and they delivered the said bill to the said society. And they present that on Monday 17th June 1381, John Holtman, William Dove and John Davy, thatcher, were with the corrupt society of their own free will, and afterwards came to the house of Thomas Fox of Barningham and made the said Thomas give up against his will rolls pertaining to the manor of Hempstead and its lord William Kaly, knight, and the said William (Dove) and John Davy burnt the said rolls in a fire. They also present that on Tuesday 18th June 1381, John Pypere of Briston and John Schephird of Sharrington, staying in Hunworth, went to the mansions of Simon Warde, Richard Sagge, Alan atte Grene and Peter Neve and threatened them, and made them give them silver to the sum of 6 s. 8 d. against their will.
