Text (English translation)Sir Thomas Morewell, plaintiff, appears by William Hornyng his attorney against Jacob Duk of Corringham, defendant, on a plea that he broke the close and houses of the said Thomas at Corringham and burnt charters, rolls and other muniments found there. Jacob does not appear. He had been distrained by goods worth 40 d and by the mainprise of John Cok, William Moor, Robert Scot and Roger Est. Therefore they are in mercy. Sheriff ordered to distrain Duk by all lands and revenues to appear in quindene of Trinity 5 Richard II.
