John Gildesburgh, knight, plaintiff, appears by John Giffard his attorney, against Richard Prentys of Brentwood, John Mot of Coggshall, John Maldon of Aveley, John son of Nicholas Turney of Romford, John Bret of Havering, Richard Chaundeler of Brentwood, Simon Milner of Brentwood, John Dene of Great Warley, Robert Serle of Great Warley, Richard Saman of Havering, butcher, William Brook of Havering, John Millere of Hornchurch, Seman Trillyng, John Douneman of Romford, Richard Quilter of Romford, Seman Gale of Havering, Thomas Cartere of Upminster Hall, John Bakere of Brentwood, John Sprot of Brentwood, Richard Offyngton, Richard Parker of Coggeshall, Ralph Struggul, Stephen Bernard, Thomas Curteys of Coggeshall, John Caruse, John Willot of Upminster, Robert Colyn of Little Warley, John Chapman of Childerditch, Thomas Parker of Little Warley and William Clerk of Little Warley, defendants, on a plea that they broke the close and houses of John Gildesburgh at Wennington and High Easter and burnt charters, deeds, rolls and other muniments and took and carried away goods and chattels worth £40 and made death threats against Gildesburgh's men and servants so that they would not go to his manors to plough the land or tend the animals so that he lost the profits from the lands and animals and the services of men for a great period of time. And as before the sheriff is ordered to distrain them by all lands and issues, etc. and to have them in court in the quindene of St Michael. And concerning the said John Maldon and others, they are not found. Therefore as before the sheriff is ordered to arrest them to have them in court in the said term.
