21/12/1381Milton Hall,Prittlewell,EssexWilliam Gildeborn, who had been hanged for felony, had chattel worth £4 in Milton Hall (Prittlewell, Essex) confiscated by the prior's bailiff. Later a certain stranger ('estraneus') came to where the impounded chattel was kept and he took everything and carried it away to the house of John Folk. The said John concealed the chattel, well-knowing it to be a forfeiture. Folk is fined 40s and finds pledges to satisfy to satisfy the lord, namely William Spotil, John Berard, John Robekyn senior and John Clerc.CCA, U15/24/2
