4399Hugh the Parsonesprest of Puttenham and others kill William BragHugh the Parsonesprest of Puttenham and others on Tuesday 10 December 1381, at Gubblecote, made an insurrection feloniously and traitorously, and they came to the house of John Fordham and there the aforesaid Hugh the Parsonesprest of Puttenham feloniously struck the aforesaid William Brag with a certain cannonball on the head, and the aforesaid William Fordham feloniously struck the aforesaid William Brag with one staff then and there on the neck, and the aforesaid Walter Freman feloniously struck the aforesaid William Brag with one staff then and there on the head, and the aforesaid Richard Merston, Richard Baldok, Thomas Baldok and Richard Fordham feloniously struck the aforesaid William Brag with staffs then and there, and feloniously broke his legs and arms, by which wounds and blows the aforesaid William Brag immediately died.
