John Pykston of Claxton and John Ponnfreyt of Barton are accused of being common rebels and congregators of men in various hundreds in the county of Norfolk and of making proclamations at Norwich and in other places, and that they plundered Henry Lomynour on Monday 17th June 1381. And because of this they have been arrested and brought before the justices by the sheriff, and immediately it was asked of them how they wished to acquit themselves of the felonies and treasons aforesaid, and they stated that they are not guilty. And upon this by several inquests made into those arrested those sworn and charged say upon their oath that they are guilty of the felonies and treasons aforesaid. It is judged that the aforesaid John and John should be decapitated and that their heads should be placed upon Norwich Castle and should remain there, under condition that it must not be taken down under pain of losing life and limb.
