DetailsCommission to Thomas, earl of Buckingham, Richard Waldegrave, William Berlande, Richard Withermerssh and John Bataille, on complaint by the princess of Wales that the late insurgents in the county of Essex entered her manors of Northwelde [North Weald], Barstaple, Colwake [Wakes Colne], Lammerssh [Lamarsh] and Leyham [Layham] in that county, burnt and destroyed houses, books, rolls, charters and other muniments, and carried away goods, to enquire touching the same, imprison the offenders and return their inquisitions into Chancery.
