DetailsThe jury says that William Napton of Northampton during the whole time of the detestable disturbance, lately made by diverse men insurging [against] the peace of the lord king and contrary to their allegiance within the realm of England, was a common procurer and agitator of men from the community of the vill of Northampton by word, craft and trickery, to cause the same men to rise up in a hostile manner against the mayor [of the vill] of Northampton, who then was, and other upright and lawful men of the said vill of Northampton, and against the peace of the lord king.
