Details[The jurors] also say that on the next Tuesday [18th June 1381] Thomas de Breccham, Richard Loder, Thomas Bernard of Littleport and John Holt, servant of the same Nicholas [de Massyngham] came in possession of the same Nicholas and took him and led him to Littleport along with goods and chattels worth £20. And there they imprisoned and detained him, and said to him that he would be beheaded until he was freed by the Prior and good men of Ely, and further they took and carried away goods and chattels they found there belonging to John Lucas worth £20.
