Short DescriptionJohn Barat threatens Richard Suklyng
Details[The jurors] also say that John son of Geoffrey Barat of Cratfield one of the congregators at the time of the rising in a warlike manner and against the dignity of the crown feloniously came to the village of Fressingfield to the house of Richard Suklyng and feloniously entered it, namely on Tuesday 25th June 1381 and there he threatened the life and limb of the aforesaid Richard Suklyng until the aforesaid Richard Suclyng made a fine for £3 6 s. 8 d. with the aforesaid John, son of Geoffrey Barat, the which £3 6 s. 8 d. the aforesaid Richard handed over for fear of his life and the aforesaid John son of Geoffrey Barat feloniously carried it off.
