DetailsKent - John atte Hoke and Robert Millere attached to answer Christopher Shukkeburgh by Richard Skypp his attorney on a plea that, together with Richard Payne, on 12 June 1381 with force and arms, namely swords, bows, arrows and knives, he broke the close and houses of the said Christopher at Shorne, and took and burnt charters, writings, rentals and other muniments, and did other damage to the value of 100 marks. John and Robert come by Nicholas Peny their attorney and plead not guilty. Shukkeburgh likewise. Both on country and jurors to come in octave of St Michael.
