DetailsWilliam Burre, John Burre junior, John Burre senior, Robert Ide, Nicholas Burre, Thomas Burre, butcher of the parish of Brenchley, on 15th June 1381 made a proclamation, that whoever wanted their house left in peace should go to Tonbridge with the great company and there they feloniously broke into and threw down the house of Nicholas Merefeld and plundered goods and chattels worth 100 s. And the aforesaid William Burre and John Burre senior and certain others on 16th June 1381 went to Brenchley and broke open the prison and stocks there.
