William Sterk and Thomas Drewe raise the community of Wymondham
[The jurors] also say that William Sterk of Shelfanger and Thomas Drewe of the same on Monday 24th June 1381 came to Wymondham to the community of the aforesaid village and presented to them that if they wished to rise up against the peace they should bring forth 1000 men to destroy the king's faithful lieges, and they rode from village to village to raise the people.
Thomas Drew and William Stork threaten the people of Wymondham
Thomas Drew of Shelfhanger and William Stork of the same on Sunday 23rd June 1381 came from the village of Shelfhanger to Wymondham and said if the town of Wymondham will not agree with them, and to be of their company and to stand alongside them, they will lead 1000 men to Wymondham to rise in rebellion against the peace and the dignity of his crown.
