| Text (English translation) | Norfolk Henry Lomenour of Norwich appeared on the fourth day through his attorney against John Wavereye of Ruston and Robert his son, Thomas Deye of Ruston, John Taillour of Ruston, John Cappe of Ruston, Martin Cappe of Ruston, John Arcale of Ruston, William Lynstede of Ruston, Nicholas Hony of Ruston, John Trececok of Ruston, John Knot of Ruston, William Newehous, John Tante of Ruston, John Rede of Ruston, William de Sutton of Ruston and William Sowere of Ruston in a plea of trespass. And they do not appear. And the sheriff was ordered to attach them. And the sheriff returns that the aforesaid John Wavereye is attached by John Bonde and Richard Wayte. Therefore they are in mercy. And the sheriff is ordered to distrain him by all his lands etc., and that of the issues etc. And to have his body before the lord king fifteen days after Michaelmas day wherever etc. And with regard to the aforesaid Robert son of John Waverey and others, the sheriff returns that they have nothing in his bailiwick etc. Therefore the sheriff is ordered to seize them if etc., and safely etc., so that he has their bodies before the lord king at the aforesaid term wherever etc. And on this the sheriff on the morrow of St John the Baptist. |
