Attack on manor of Countess of Norfolk by Sarlot Martyn and others
The jurors present that Sarlot Martyn, Roger But of Harwich and John de Welles of Walton at the time of the rising in a warlike manner and against the dignity of the crown feloniously and fraudulently came with many others unknown to the village of Walton on Tuesday 18th June 1381 and there feloniously entered the manor of Walton belonging to the Countess of Norfolk, and falsely and feloniously destroyed and burnt court rolls, rentals and all other muniments pertaining to the manor, to the damage of the aforesaid countess of 100 marks.
