Paul de Rutby imprisoned by Piers de Santon until obligations given on his behalf, October 1380
Paul de Rutby was sent by Nicholas Drake, King's sergeant at arms, with letters of protection in October 1380 and was imprisoned by Piers de Santon and other rebels until Thomas Yoke and Robert de Cottingham as pledges together with John Wytelle guaranteed an obligation that Paul would pay the rebels twenty pounds and would not pursue these grievances and Paul gave the rebels ten pounds
