John also holds a messuage and 6 acres of free land formerly of Philip Waryn for which he owes homage, fealty, suit of court and services of 2s 9d at the aforesaid terms and 2 capons at Christmas. He also holds a croft of land ('croftum terre'; smallholding) containing 3 acres formerly of John Zeward for homage, fealty, suit of court and services of 2s at the aforesaid terms. And one 'furc'(?) in the pightel of the lord namely in 8 acres of meadow to turn, to stack and to carry the hay. And one boon-work for the lord for of 1 man for 1 day and making a hedge (or fence) called 'Wodeshege' from the vigil of Epiphany until the ninth hour (noon).
