This probably refers to John Ferrour of Rochester who with his wife Joanna was in the King's Bench prison for homicide at the time of the revolt. They were released by the rebels and joined in the attacks on the Savoy, Clerkenwell, etc: KB 145/3/5/1. They also went by the name Marchal: CCR 1386-9 pp. 248-9. It is not clear why the designation 'Master' is given in the parliament roll and it is probably due to scribal confusion. however, a Master John Ferrour witnessed a grant rel. to the manor of Capel in Suffolk in Dec. 1386: CCR 1386-9, p. 285.
