Insurrection of John Gervays 17 June 1381; illegal seizure of property
John Gervays of Goudhurst on 17th June 1381 with other wrongdoers went to the parish of Marden and made various uprisings and assemblies against the king's peace, and placed Joanna the widow of Martin Sherreve in seisin of one messuage.
