Rebellion of John Wattes, Thomas de Suffolk, Richard Filmond, John Jentlomb, John Gase, Thomas Pekke and Adam atte Lath
The jurors present that John Wattes of Scottow, Thomas de Suffolk of Swanton Abbott, Richard Filmond, of Buxton, John Jentlomb of the same, John Gase of Scottow, Thomas Pekke of Swanton [Abbott], Adam atte Lath of Neatishead rose in rebellion and made the people rise up against the peace of the crown and the dignity of the lord king.
John Gentillomb, Richard Filmond, Thomas Suffolke and John Wattes rise up and make proclamations
[The jurors] also say that on Friday 14th June 1381 at Swanton Abbott, Scottow and elsewhere in the county of Norfolk John Gentillomb, Richard Filmond, Thomas Suffolke of Swanton and John Wattes of Scottow were common insurgents and they rose the people in revolt and they made proclamations from village to village in the name of Geoffrey Lystere against the lord king and the dignity of his crown.
