By instigation of Richard de Uttokcestre, Richard de Imworth is dragged from the shrine of St Edward at Westminster Abbey and killed by Richard Mugge and others.
Richard de Uttokcestre abets Richard Mugge in the murder of Richard de Imworth
Richard de Uttokcestre, parson of the church of Lynyng..., on Friday 14 June 1381, feloniously and traitorously caused to forewarn Richard Mugge of Westminster and diverse other felons and traitors of the lord king, insurrectors against the said lord king and his loyal subjects, to take Richard de Imworthe, marshal of the lord king, lying in his prayers at Westminster at the tomb of St Edward within the church of the abbey of St Peter, Westminster. Which same Richard Mugge and the others, by the procurement, abetment and aid of the aforesaid Richard de Uttokcestre, feloniously and traitorously took the aforesaid Richard Imworthe on the aforesaid day and year and place, and brought him out of the aforesaid church, and feloniously and traitorously killed the same man, and they say precisely that the aforesaid Richard de Uttokcestre was the cause of the death of the aforesaid Richard de Imworthe and one of the aforesaid principal insurrectors.
