John Seynper on 9 June 1381 came at Brampton by Harlestone in the aforesaid county and elsewhere within the said county, saying and affirming that he is a merchant of wools by the name of John Philypote of London, knight, by colour of the purchase of the aforesaid wools, he incited and procured diverse men of the aforesaid county to surge and rise up against the lord king and his peace and allegiance, whereof he is indicted before the keepers of the peace of the aforesaid county.
