Details
John Payntor, draper of London, on Friday 14 June 1381, by force and arms, with insurrectors, men of the counties of Essex and Kent, and with an open standard, entered the abbey of [St Mary] Graces in the county of Middlesex, and there compelled the abbot and convent of the said abbey to seize one foreign man in the chamber of the abbey there against the peace, etc.
