Short DescriptionOrder concerning threats made by John Buntynges in Thetford
DetailsOrder to the mayor and bailiffs of Thetford, upon petition of John Cranewys, one of the clerks of chancery, to deliver to him 40s in their keeping, as his petition shows that at the time of the insurrection John Buntynges threatened him in life and limb and that his houses should be burned, and to save his life and houses certain of his friends made a fine of 40s. with the said John Buntynges, and paid it of the petitioner's money, and that John Buntynges was taken, brought to Thetford, and there beheaded, and that the money was then found upon him, which the mayor etc. seized as forfeit to the king, and he acknowledged the same before his death to be the sum received of the said John Cranewys.
