DetailsHugh the Parsonesprest of Puttenham, William Fordham, Walter Freman, Richard Merston of Long Marston, Richard Baldok, Thomas Baldok and Richard Fordham, and others, on Tuesday 18 June 1381, at the time of the insurrection of the community of the counties of Essex and Kent, came at Long Marston in the county of Hertfordshire and sought out there the aforesaid William Brag, hayward and servant of Edmund de Stonore, and plotted and threatened to kill him, if he would have been found then and there, and the same William Brag having not been found then and there, the same Hugh, William Fordham, Walter, Richard, Thomas Baldok and Richard feloniously and traitorously against their faith and allegiance made an insurrection there and burnt the charters, deeds, rentals and other muniments of the same Edmund and the others.
