Text (English translation)[Navestock] First court of master John Appelby canon residentiary and dean of St Paul in London held there on Thursday the day after St Martin 7 Richard II (12 November 1383) Robert Gyp presents(?) a copy pf a court enrolment which had been burnt concerning the lands and tenement which once belonged to Adam atte Hatch; confirmation of the copy is adjourned until next court. [Navestock] Court of master John Appelby held there on Tuesday next after St Gregory 7 Richard II (15 March 1384) John Gyppe, in the name of his son Robert Appleby comes to court and presents a copy of an enrolment in these words ... And because the aforesaid court rolls have been burnt at the time of the madness of the people ...
