Text (English translation)First court after the burning of the books General court held Tuesday next after Michaelmas 5 Richard II (1 October 1381) General court held Friday next after Ascension 7 Richard II (20 May 1381) ... At this court John Cole junior of Felixstowe, a bondman of the lord, came and made an agreement in openl court with Brother Henry Ramden, then keeper, concerning all forfeitures, damages and trespasses committed(?) within the cell of Walton at the time of the insurrection of the the people against the king and the magnates ... which involved the burning of the muniments of the said cell.
