Text (English translation)[Witton] General court held on Thursday on the eve of All Saints 5 Richard II (31 October 1381) The jurors from North Walsham present that John Buk who held of this manor [Witton cum North Walsham] 1 acre and 3 roods of bond land which he forfeited rising against the king's peace and assaulting Henry Despenser, bishop of Norwich, at North Walsham, and there he was killed by the aforesaid Henry because of his aforesaid insurrection. It is therefore ordered to seize the 1 acre and 3 roods of land into the hand of the lord to be forfeited and answer to the lord about the profit.
