Text (English translation)First court after the burning of the rolls carried out by the people of the country who rose up and burnt all the rolls and other written notes of this manor, held here at Thursday next before the feast of St Laurentius, 5 Richard II (8 August 1381) In a court dated 28 May 1383 Vincent Groom comes to court and offers the lord 6s 8d because he was in the company of those who did damage in this manor at the time of the uprising.
