Text (English translation)Inquest taken by William Sale, escheator for Somerset, at Yeovil Monday after the feast of St Peter Advincula 5 RII, who say that... Thomas de Ingleby convicted of sedition because he rode and went from the kingdom in a warlike fashion against the king and his people granted to Richard Bryce in 49 Edw III 18 acres of land and half an acre of meadow in Limington for the term of his life reendering to Thomas and his heirs 20 shillings annually. And afterwards the said Richard Bryce granted his tenure in the said land to Margaret, now Prioress of Yeovil, with reversion to Thomas Ingylby after the death of Richard Bryce... And that Roger Pieres and Eleanor his wife some four years ago acquired from the said Thomas Ingylby two messuages in Yeovil for the term of their lives rendering two shillings annually to the said Thomas and his heirs with reversion to the said Thomas and his heirs after the death of the said Roger abd Eleanor.
