II, Part 1, m. 32d 3 July 1381 Chelmsford Commission to Hugh la Zouche, William de Wyndesore, John de Burgh, William Cheyne, John de Wauton, John de Brunne and the sheriff of Cambridge, to make proclamation in that county that all tenants of William Gambon are to do their accustomed services; with power to punish the disobedient. II, Part 1, m. 32d 5 July 1381 Chelmsford Commission to Thomas Belhous and John Scocheye to enquire touching the possessions in Alfithele [Aveley] in the hundred of Chafford, Essex, of John Besyden, son of John Besyden, who, on being indicted for his share in the insurrection, fled, and to return their inquisitions into Chancery. II, Part 1, m. 32d 9 July 1381 London Mandate to Richard, earl of Arundel, to keep prisoners in his castles of Arundel and Lewes, as the gaol of Guldeford [Guildford] castle, the chief gaol of the counties of Surrey and Sussex, is not sufficient for the safe custody of all the late insurgents indicted before him and his fellow [justices].
