William Lampet appeared through his attorney against Richard Tolkelove, William Tolkelove and Henry, his son, Henry Pykke, Thomas Joye, William Sakes, John Austyn of Newbourne, William Bogat, John Pyt, Stephen Spaneyn and John, his son, on a plea that with force and arms they broke the close of the said William Lampet at Brightwell, and burnt charters, writings, rolls and other muniments of his found there, and other enormities etc to the grave damage etc and against the King's peace etc. And they did not come. And the sheriff was ordered to attach them. And the sheriff reports that they have nothing. Therefore, the sheriff is ordered to arrest them and produce them here [remainder missing]. |
