| Text (English translation) | Norfolk. Sir William de Kerdestone appeared through William Bodeneye, his attorney, against Henry Royse of Dilham, John Thurkold, John Erl, Thomas atte Ker, Richard Parant of Worstead, John Smythe of Worstead, John Bryan and John, his son, John Bonde of Brumstead, William Bonde, John Kyng, John Skynnere of Brumstead, John Coupere, John Hikkessone, William Tommes, William Howard, John Child of Honing and Adam Taillour of Hautbois on a plea that with force and arms they broke the close and houses of the said William de Kerdestone at Ryston, and burnt court rolls, writings and other muniments of his found there, and other enormities etc against the peace etc. And they did not come. And the sheriff was ordered to attach them. And the sheriff reports that they have nothing. Therefore, the sheriff is ordered to arrest them and produce them here at three weeks after Easter 1382. |
